Maintenance and after-sales service

Much of the equipment delivered to villages stops at the first breakdown and never restarts. Nobody is nearby to repair it. TUMIQUI JAPON SASU was created in 2020 so that this does not happen to the group’s equipment. Its technicians are in Senegal. Its spare parts are in Senegal.

The organisation

Who Role
TUMIQUI JAPON SASU technicians Based in Sandiara and Dakar. Installation, commissioning, training, diagnosis and repair on site
Remote monitoring Temperature, solar output and battery charge level at the cold storage sites are monitored continuously from Dakar and from Japan
Spare parts stock Managed in Senegal. Common parts are available without importing
Parent company SUCRECUBE Japon Choice of equipment, supply of special parts, decisions on modifications

Remote monitoring

At the solar cold storage sites, three values are measured continuously: the temperature of the cold rooms, the output of the panels and the charge level of the batteries. Dakar and Japan see the same screen. If the temperature rises, we know before the client calls. The technician is sent before the goods are lost.

This system was developed during a network trial carried out in 2021 and 2022 in five schools in Sandiara. It is in service at both Sandiara sites, which run 24 hours a day.

In case of a breakdown

  1. You write to contact@tumiqui.com stating the equipment, the location and the problem. A photo helps with diagnosis.
  2. A technician diagnoses the problem remotely and tells you the first checks to make.
  3. If needed, the technician comes with the spare part.
  4. The intervention is recorded. Repeated faults are reported to the parent company to improve the next equipment.

Response times depend on the location and the contract. They are stated on the quote.

Warranty and maintenance contract

The TUMIQUI Smart Kit carries a one-year warranty from purchase. Warranty terms for other equipment are stated on the quote.

After the warranty, a maintenance contract takes over. Depending on the case, it includes:

Service Content
Maintenance visits Checks of panels, batteries, connections and the refrigeration unit, at an agreed interval
Remote monitoring Monitoring of temperature, output and batteries
On-site intervention Technician call-out in case of breakdown
Parts Supply and replacement of wear parts
Operation For sites, TUMIQUI JAPON SASU can run the operation itself

The content of the contract, its duration and the response time are set contract by contract, according to the number of units and the sites. Terms are provided on quotation.

Equipment already in service

Equipment installed by TUMIQUI JAPON SASU is followed up by its technicians. Maintenance requests for solar equipment installed by other suppliers are considered case by case.
